Last week, there was a about a 130 pound black bear crossing the residential street towards the trash rollouts. As my vehicle approached, the bear turned around and headed back into the stand of trees, by a creek. There's a lot of road construction, removing forested vegetation, and the bears off Eglin AFB have been moving around. Unfortunately, since the young bear is in a residential neighborhood, the bear will probably get hit by a vehicle soon.
