Where is Stonehenge located?
Correct answer: The United Kingdom
Vondoom-
What? Why are people bringing religion into this? Nowhere was the bible mentioned in the explaination. In fact stonehenge was likely to be a pagan gathering place as it still is for the solstice which far outdates christianity.

let's get off that topic and talk about the subject above Stonehenge. I would love one day to be able to travel to see it
MigrantEpic3
Vondoom-, some of the stones came from Wales. The theory is they were floated round on rafts and then rolled to the site on logs. It 's an amazing place, revered by the druids.

there's a recreation of Stone Henge in Esperance Western Australia made of granite. You can walk all around and touch it. the wind is cut off and the acoustics are incredible. well worth a visit.

It is so fascinating that so long ago people managed somehow to gather those huge stones and transport them to the site as well as knowing how the sun would shine on the heel stone on mid summer day —amazing knowledge !!
RushMama2112
Visited it in 2009. It's more impressive than you think.

Vondoom-, paganism is a religion!
Beverly07
I am surprised by all the religious diatribe in the comments. Trivia should encourage you to think and learn, not spout rehearsed ignorance
mick dundee
Vondoom-, paganism is a religion too, religion doesn t just consist of western Christian based beliefs

Player #9776272, people can't discuss anything civally these days. its a shame because there was a time when you didn't dare say the world was round and it appears we have come full circle. you cannot have a differing opinion even if youre right.

Lillian, not far away is something called wood henge it pretty much maps out stone henge but with wood which is easier to maneuver. theoretically they made wood henge and then used it as a model for stone henge.

Actually stonehenge is in ENGLAND

Haley, Ancient humans carried out amazing feats all over the earth. Humans do the seemingly impossible every day. Turning to "aliens" for an explanation is weak.

Google the Coral Castle in Florida, built by one man. Huge blocks of coral made up the building and two massive blocks were hung at the front gate. You would have to push to get one to move, but when it did, it would keep on swinging open. The man said he had discovered the secret to how the pyramid were built.
And he was always whistling when he was in the process of building.
Some believe the Egyptians used sound and vibrations to shape their blocks (perfectly) and move them to the site and place them one upon another toll the pyramids was complete. See Gaia

Forget the “why”, it’s the “how” that’s impressive. YouTube “How to build Stonehenge in your backyard (seriously)”.
arohanui
there's no evidence of burials there. more likely a sort of open air temple or somewhere to be amazed at the night skies
Yvonne
Although I haven't actually seen the Stonehenge, I have seen documentaries on it and it always fascinates me.
KittyA9
The answer should really be Great Britain.
Jake
corrections --- only smaller blue stones were from Wales the 30 to 50 tonne sarsen stones were local... the stones were rearranged over the course of 1500 to 2000 years when the site was used for gatherings winter sol... there is also a replica wood henge about 5 miles away next to a river... both were used as calander and to represent the world of the living and the world of the dead not religion as we know it
Hofrer
I made them
Roblox_GAMER_GIRL
Wanna go there desperately!!!
If you’ve been tell me if it’s nice and fascinating!
Lillian
Haley, I don't buy that either. How did the people 500-1,000 years later know what the origin plan was and how to finish it? They would have had to have some way to pass down the instructions. A bigger project than we will ever know about. Whew.
Lillian
Player #65502216, I agree. It's more to do with astronomy, the calendar, and agriculture than religion.

Player #1946185, And the people who practiced it were just as dedicated to their beliefs as we are to ours today.

I very much doubt it took 1500 years to erect, this is just nonsense and pointless in my view. I think it might be one of those funny facts when an expert said it was build between this date and this date and was misunderstood - not that’s how long it took but approximately when. Some also think it was seen as a place of healing as skeletons from different parts of Europe were found there. Also the acoustics are amplified as you walk within it.

it's hard for me even if I turn the easy mode it keeps being hard to me please fix this

That's on my bucket list 😆.

my vote is aliens or some other method of moving stones. 1500 years to build? I can't even focus for a week, no way an ancient civilization focused on something for that long.
baldgeek
RushMama2112, they were the real heroes, the animals were innocent victims. we should have a bank holiday to commemorate all wartime vets who risked their lives to save innocent animals.
Deb
Vondoom-, actually, why bring religion or panganism, which is a religion anyways, in to it. Neither is the answer to everything. I have seen Stonehenge and it is awe inspiring. To think how the stones were placed there and how long ago.
Player #4992396
it probably a nice place once before time ravaged it. or buried it.
