Robin Williams was by all accounts, such a kind and wonderful human being to those around him, who improved the lives of many people. Just so sad he couldn't find happiness and contentment in life for himself.

Miss this talented man! He made my childhood a happier time! Mss doubtfire was so funny! Blubber… not only as a comedian! In the dead poet society he did a great job! Miss him so much. I always known he took his own life due depression, but never believed it! Rip robin, legends stay legends even long after they’re gone ❤️

Williams had an extraordinary encounter with Koko, one of the world's most intelligent gorillas. According to Koko’s mentor, Dr. Penny Patterson, the gorilla was extremely sad when she was told about Williams’ death and had apparently used the sign language equivalent of “cry” to articulate how she was feeling. Patterson added that the animal was drawn to Williams’ “warm heart” and could even recognise him in his film roles.
