Artie, but what happens when the pituitary gland is removed because of a tumor? What happens then? Does the immune system just fail and the person gets fatally sick and dies? I don’t smoke or drink hard liquor or beer. Yet my A1c is 6.0. I do not enjoy cake with inches high frosting. Too sweet for my taste. I’m in my 60’s and my pituitary gland was removed because I had a tumor. I’ve been taking 13 to 15 different kinds of medications every day for 46 years.
