As a leader, at least Carter showed dignity, respecetfulness, intelligence, interest, and tolerance...so much more than we can say for our current clown-in-chief

I missed this one. Which really highlights the man. He is so humble, I had no idea he had won a Nobel Prize. He just goes about his life doing good. It's hilarious how uncomfortable the Clintons are whenever an occasion arises like recently at Bush funeral, and they have to sit or stand next to him. The obvious contrast chafes. The Clintons are so mercenary. They have no shame.

SirFartsALot, he is the most honest president in my lifetime and I'm 65. he was too trusting which didn't serve him well in foreign policy matters

Great person and humanitarian. Routinely ranked near the bottom of presidents and for good reason. Although weak and ineffective as Commander-in-chief, he has arguably done more for the country and the world post-presidency than any other former president.

and they didn't even mention houses for humanity. President Carter for years have been helping build homes for families that otherwise would never have a home of their own.

The reason why the hostages were released on the day Regan took office was not because of Regan. Carter had negotiated the release months beforehand. He did the work. They wanted to wait until Regan took office. Carter was a humble president whose focus was the people not his popularity
