My favorite episode was the one with Burgess Meredith. The book lover who locked himself in the safe to read and came out and everyone was gone. He's on the steps of the library with all the books he's going to read stacked up. Funny how Rod Sterling had a knack for getting you right where where you live. Man, great stuff!!

Rod was a WW2 veteran having served in the PTO against the Japanese. He saw some terrible things in the war that effected him for the rest of his life. Some he wrote about becoming stories that were on the twilight zone

Player #1418135, I did the same as a teenager. I sat right in front of the TV in the dark with the volume turned down low because my parents had already gone to sleep. I was terrified but I still watched because it was fascinating!

Player #1952, My mother passed away of lung cancer and never smoked. Over the years she had bronchial infections and had pneumonia a couple of times and got a spot on her lung. I too, had bronchial infections over the years and got pneumonia. After I finished my pneumonia, I then got full blown asthma. The Dr said, that pneumonia did me in because I already had weakened lungs. I have had asthma for 22 years.

nimblemoon, Remakes ar6 seldom as good as the original, i.e. Twilight Zone the movie, not so good. I don't think in today's atmosphere you could tell the truth the way Rod did back then.
