MagicTwanger, From what I've seen a lot of workers aren't worth even $2.00 an hour. They're more concerned with talking/playing on their phones, and they have no clue as to customer service. Their standard answer is "If it's not on the shelf, we don't have it." They refuse to go and check, because it would take time away from texting to their friends/playing on the phone.

MagicTwanger, the minimum wage law might raise wages for some, but it also puts others out of work. Employers cannot simply pass on all costs to the consumer. If you want high wages for low skill workers, you need a strong economy and limited immigration. It's the law of supply and demand. Currently, our Congress is selling out our country to unlimited immigration, which drives down wages. Democrats allow it because they want voters, even if they have to wait for a generation to get those voters. Republicans want to satisfy their business donors who want cheap labor. They each act in their own self interest. Middle America loses.

Player #13087862, Socialism is definitely NOT the answer to our country's problems. We need to get back to the basics that this country was founded on, the principles, the morals, a sense of patriotism, etc. We need to redeem our Constitutional freedoms, which have already been greatly infringed upon. Immigration needs to be controlled like it was when they had to go through Ellis Island. No more wholesale stampede and everything free (who pays for that?). We give free benefits to people who are not citizens of our country but don't take care of our own. And the list goes on!!

Any country that started out enslaving, bamboozling, restricting rights and murdering those they deemed not as important as them needs to start completely over from scratch! We have entered a new dimension as a human race and have to pay for our crimes against humanity as a whole. Granted we weren't there when these things took place but we perpetuate the things that caused them in the first place! Until we learn to respect other's perspectives, religions, orientations without judgement we are repeating the same cycles that didn't/don't work and will continue to spin our wheels regardless of party! Just my 5 cents
