Most tropical regions (Africa and Asia) have them. I used to sell them at a farmers market and invited my African, Asian and Southern (AL, GA, VA, FL, SC … etc) to my various peanut treats. Been eating them since I was 3.

Tom I’d heard the term ground nuts before as well, I love peanuts and sometimes when we’ve run out peanut butter I’ll put peanuts on a round of bread with normal butter!
