I first saw Alien at a cinema when I was 16. I went with my girlfriend and her brother. During scary bits they lept from their seats. I did not. Afterwards she commented on my bravery. Truth is, I was so scared I couldn't get up if you had held a gun to my head!

Giggle pig, More women than ever before are making the choice to pass on dating, marriage, and motherhood. The quality of men (most are nothing more than boys in men's bodies) has become so low that many women have decided that life without the lies, cheating, and especially the violence and control, is preferable. Something some women never find out (because they run constantly from one guy to the next) is that life without a man is peaceful and calm, and that the absence of the emotional rollercoaster is a very healing thing.

Stripping Ripley down to her essential female form was neither accidental nor gratuitous. If not for ratings considerations, they would have gone nude. The scene was to illustrate how small and vulnerable Ripley was compared to the Alien. Every other role in Alien is intentionally gender-neutral.
