Wilsonbeder, Lech Walesa deserved every accolade in his fight for workers’ rights. Stood tall in the face of tyranny; truly worthy Nobel Prize winner.

Warsaw is a city that resurrected . Trouble with it now is that its run by a crooked president Trzaskowski and there is a lot of criminal activity regarding the ownership of many buildings and apartment blocks .. People are being evicted !! There was a murder related to this scandal too . After all Warsaw is worth visiting but you should choose Cracow if you can .

Worst city ever. The ugliest place I've ever been to. To everybody who says it's beautiful, you're obviously not polish

AreKay86, That's right and after war it was rebuilt by communism. It looked very much like Prague before WWII, with lovely red roof houses. When it was rebuilt, there were massive, grey blocks of flats. Ugly and dull, concrete estates. Warsaw is not pretty, Poland is. With Baltic beaches and dunes at north-west, mountains on south and lake district at north-west. And warm people who are open and welcoming.

Ive always wanted to go to Poland too. I've come close, all the way to East Berlin as a child (while the Wall was still up) & later to Brussels & Prague.
