What is a squirrel's nest called?

I raised a baby squirrel I found in my garden, and his favorite "nest" was in the pocket of my robe!

nimblemoon, I had one, from a few days old, freezing cold abandoned tiny pink blob, until he was nearly 5 last June. I was devastated to lose him, but I'd do it all again!

just this Spring, a mama built harness in my grill! Unfortunately, I didn't realize what she was doing. The grill had to be moved as the balcony was in need of replacement. Our condo maintenance was there to take care of it. When we saw the nest, we started to remove it. There were 3 babies in it. We placed the whole nest on the balcony. She timidly came and moved them to a nest nearby.

nimblemoon, omg, my squirrel too!! Hanging on a four poster bed, he'd sleep in the pocket of my robe. Would wake us up way too early tho.

nimblemoon, How sweet. I had a baby squirrel named "stinkey".

I've read that most squirrels have more than one drey. When they have babies they set up a special drey just for the little ones.
