You are right it is ahimsa not satyagraha. Ahimsa comes from a verse in the Mahabharata which reads as follows : « Ahimsa parmo dharma Dharma hinsa tadeva cha » meaning non violence is the greatest duty but use of violence to protect that dharma is equally important.
