Does the the word democracy actually appear in the U.S. Constitution?

Most people are ignorant of the fact that we're a representative democracy, not a true democracy. But when you get enough politicians and media saying 'democracy' over and over, it seems to blind the general population to the actual form of government they're voting for, which are usually their representatives in congress that actually govern.
