Where would you find the Achilles tendon?

I thought it was in the ankle or heel?

Ian, it's attached to the back of the heel and runs up the back of the leg. Only know this because mine snapped and tore loose from the heel taking a chunk of bone with it. Major repair with donor tendon splice
