morg1811, I live in the southern part of Australia and we regularly get to see the Aurora Australis. It is spectacular and colourful being mainly reds, purples, oranges, pinks, unlike the greens of Borealis!

I was fortunate enough to see them in all their glory flying to Ireland at 6yo from Canada. The pilot woke us and told us to look out to our left, and explained the phenomenon.
It was a clean cut curtain with every color of the rainbow "dancing" beautifully.
