I used to love Capt Kangaroo when I was little!! and also Romper Room. Anyone remember that one? And of course Mr. Rogers too. I used to get so mad, when I was older, at the mean jokes aimed at Mr. Rogers. I don't know why some people can't appreciate something that is good and wholesome...

I loved Captain Kangaroo and Mr. Green Jeans. I remember Mr. Moose dropping all those pong balls. It was so funny. I grew up in the days of that show and Mr. Rogers Neighborhood, Sesame Street and the Electric Company, also Romper Room and romper stompers. I know some of these programs are still on TV. I grew up in the 60's and 70's. I think I was very blessed to have grown up in that time period. At the very least I never had to worry about someone coming into my elementary school and murdering my friends and myself. Thank God for that!

does anybody else think he looks like Thursday ravenscroft (the original voice actor for the coolest cat to grace cereal boxes, Tony the tiger)? Tony the tiger just has to also be the name of a boxer, an Olympian, a wrestler, maybe a Clemson b-baller, or another celebrity. tony dow (from leave it to beaver [is that the right 1]? T. danza (he usually plays characters named tony)? Toni Morisson [not likely].

while technically, any of them are right, there can only be one right answer. also, only one answer refers to all answers, so that's the one to choose, as that's how this quiz goes. having one of the other three be the right answer would mean the other two choices are untrue. also, correct and right are not always the same thing. also, but when "all of the above" is an option, that's usually the one to choose.

did Bob Keesham reach the rank of captain when he was in the US Army? Keesham and Kangaroo both start with a k. maybe while coming up with a name and character for his show, he wanted to refer to his rank / background. He perhaps felt like the title should be simple, 2 words, and fun to say out loud and since his happy personality and energy was like kangaroos, he picked captain kangaroo.
