Joan Crawford’s daughter, Christina, described Joan’s night time panic attacks as “night terrors”. I’m not a doctor but they sounded like Post traumatic stress syndrome. She had herself declared emancipated and left home and went into service as a housekeeper at 14 years old. I can’t help but wonder what happened to her to cause her to wake in the middle of the night with terrors like that?
