When I first heard Reverend Graham speak over 50 years ago the first thing I remember from him was that we were all sinners, and he included himself in the group. For "all have sinned and come short of the glory of Christ!" Of all the televangelists Billy Graham is the only one who had or has any integrity. Do not believe I ever heard any dishonesty or corruption attached to Billy Graham. So before you disparage somebody make sure you do your research so you can back up your statement.

He lived in a modest home until his death. He didn't have the private jets and million dollar mansions that many of the televangelists of today have.

Having been blessed with a pretty good baritone singing voice and being raised in the S. Baptist tradition coming up, my Mom would oft have on his tv crusades, so I was naturally influenced early on by his longtime crusade baritone vocalist, George Beverley Shea.

Not only did Billy Graham communicate the word of God with love, he actively advocated for the equal rights of African Americans during the turbulence of the 50s & 60’s. He had a deep respect for others.

As most folks know, Rev. Billy Graham spent many, many years teaching the Word. Thankfully, he represented the Southern Baptist Church, and himself with dignity, and respect. And didn't get caught up in the likes of so many Televangelists. May he Rest In Peace.

Heartland Old Guy, I remember thinking back in the 80's when evangelist we're failing miserably, if this man followed the paths of the Swaggarts, Bakers and such, I would be extremely heartbroken.

The only time I saw Billy Graham was in San Jose California and this sweet young kid came to the parking lot to sing to us ,it was Steven Curtis Chapman because there was no seats inside , they had to set up screens for thousands of Chairs and my friend said " The Holy Spirit will quiet everyone" it was glorious!!!!!

If only there was a bigger role for secularism in the USA. Just imagine how fantastic healthcare and the educational system would be if only they'd tax churches/religion? Scientology their tax alone would be enough to feed the poor, just imagine how different the country would be...
