What is the main material that porcelain is usually made from?

In Cornwall, there were China clay mines and for years after the waste heaps were prettily coloured white with the residue

All we have comes from the simple earth - porcelain, buildings, cars, medicines, plastic, TV, clothing, etc. Amazing planet

I was surprised many years ago when I found out that porcelain is very sharp. I found out by handling broken pieces and looked down to find blood streaming from my hand
