I support it, but only with the most heinous crimes and only if there is absolutely no question as to guilt.

Player #4250921, there is a man in my state who has been on death row for over 30 years. He helped rape and torture a 12 year old boy. This man does not deserve to still be living.

CageFreeDynamo50, Like the old saying goes, "If you can't do the time, don't do the crime." It's all a matter of choice and consequences. Action and reaction.

ANGIELEEE, I agree with you that people who choose to commit a crime should face the consequences. What about those people who are falsely accused of crimes? Every week I read of people released from prison after false testimony or police corruption comes to light. I woul not want an innocent person's death penalty on my conscience.

I have major problems with the death penalty. The rich can afford a much better defense, than the poor. DNA has proven, how many innocent people have been executed, and/or been wrongfully convicted.

Calliope, I agree that too many innocent people have been executed because they couldn't afford good counsel or because of their skin color.

I’ve always found it hypocritical to punish death with death. If the taking of a life is abhorrent, why do we do it as a “civilization”? 😔
