The question should specify the ‘Headwaters of the Amazon’ are in which country? When I hear about the Amazon river I think of Brazil because so much of the Amazon river is in Brazil. The only reason I got the answer right is because I reasoned out that: Amazon = South America & Peru is in South America & Peru was the only South American country in the 4 possible answers.

More info: The Amazon River flows through several countries in addition to Brazil. These include: 1. Peru - The Amazon River's main source is in Peru, where it originates in the Andes Mountains. 2. Colombia - The river passes through a small section of southern Colombia. These three countries—Brazil, Peru, and Colombia—are the primary ones through which the Amazon River flows. In addition to Brazil, Peru, and Colombia, the Amazon River basin and its tributaries extend into several other countries. However, the main river itself does not flow through them, but they are part of the Amazon drainage basin: 1. Bolivia 2. Ecuador 3. Venezuela 4. Guyana 5. Suriname 6. French Guiana (a French overseas department) These countries are part of the Amazon's vast ecosystem, but the primary Amazon River channel flows only through Brazil, Peru, and Colombia.
