That Cøunt, Ray Bumpkin
My tea is nearly ready and the sun has left the sky;
It’s time to take the window to see Leerie going by;
For every night at teatime and before you take your seat,
With lantern and with ladder he comes posting up the street.
(From "The Lamplighter" by Robert Louis Stevenson. A favourite childhood poem of mine)

That Cøunt, Ray Bumpkin, I'd never heard of the poem. I remembered the song; "The Old Lamplighter" probably the version by The Browns, can. 1960 which was quite successful.
"He made the night a little brighter
Wherever he would go
The old lamplighter
Of long, long ago"

Waldo Lydecker
The elephant in the room was ignored, so I will address it. How many sculptures of Josef Stalin exist in Georgia right now? Thankfully, hardly any now. Even in his home town, Gori, they have been removed.
