I am not sure about the question, read about the story of St Nicholas, he was the Saint the whole Santa Claus (Saint Nicholas) story based on. He was known for giving present to kids around him to make them happy. We visited his ancient church last year in Turkey / Demre, quite interesting.

MARELMAR, if y'all would do some research, u would find out that Dec 25 is actually the birth of the Sun, Not the Son of God. And it is definitely Pagan because nowhere in the Bible do Any Christians talk abt celebrating it, or what they gave one another, Nor what they got in return. The bright star that shone soo brightly was sent by none other than Satan himself because he wanted to kill baby Jesus to mess up God's plan so Jesus couldn't be our redeemer and Savior.

depends where you are. in Sweden it was a pre-christian thing that the yule goat came with. from the beginning you'd knock on someone's door and toss in a "present" which was usually a fun verse wrapped around a stone or piece of wood.
