PAS , I worked with a Japanese lady who, with her husband, immigrated to the US in 1965. I was shocked that they wanted to come over here so relatively soon after what we did. She shot back with, "they HAD to, or the war would have never ended!" She then warmed my heart by telling me they deliberately took the insanely long voyage on a ship from Japan, thru the Panama Canal solely so they could see the Statue of Liberty come into view.

I too think it was horrible. The added devastation from all the nuclear arms testing through the world is great. The Japanese refused to surrender. So unfortunately the bombs brought about their surrender. In my heart, I wish peace were possible. Power and control hungry leaders have to prove they have bigger ones. Not to mention rhe rruly evil ones

at least 2,000 Japanese-Americans were stranded there, along with between 5,000 to 8,000 South Koreans, and were incinerated ( for democracy... ) by the US government, which is the only government to have used nukes in battle.

Nothing about war is nice! US couldnt have it any ither way, but for them to surrender,,We did not keep on bombing after they surrendered like somebody commented and said we did,,. The Holocaust was so much unfairness! US isnt War happy! just when its absolutely necessary! They cant ban bombs because if we are being attacked by one its a retaliation! USA land of free!
