Where is Karelia?

Knew Karelia is in Russia, but not that it is larger and divided between various countries. I hate it when a people have to live in separate countries, because politicians say so.

Karelia was Finnish from the beginning, Russia occupied it and forced a lot of people living there to move from their homes.

All Sibelius lovers should get this correct.
