A ball from which sports game is in the picture?

I grew up watching beach volleyball in Manhattan Beach, CA, considered by some to be the birthplace of Beach volleyball. Back in the 70's it was a 10 minute walk from my house to watch the tournaments. You would hear about tournaments to come via word of mouth. Now there are grandstands and one must pay to get those court side seats we used to enjoy.
