What was the Unit designation of the Japanese - American unit that fought in Europe during WWII?

Amazing patriotism- most decorated unit yet FDR had their families imprisoned in internment camps.

I have been privileged over the years to meet several veterans of the 442nd. Heroes all, and testimony against the racism that sent their families to concentration camps. “Go for broke.”
