What is the general classification or categorization of penguins?
Correct answer: Birds
CiaransMom
And they lay eggs.
Montana Lady
Mstan60, The platypus lays eggs and is a mammal, some snakes and fish give live birth and are not mammals... so egg laying proves nothing.
Vonndatz
they answered mammals??? whuuuttt???
ArlequinRocks
Montana Lady, You're absolutely right. Mammals have mammary glands. That's the distinction.

Penguins are my close relatives
Player BARTEMAEUS 10
CiaransMom, All birds lay eggs. Although egg laying is not exclusive to birds
SeventhAverage4
People say penguins can't fly, but I reckon they don't swim as such, they "fly" under water
Player Seizetheday
Although they can only shuffle on land looking quite funny but they transform into outstandingly beautiful torpedoes in water. Technically they are and always bethe real gold medalists for synchronised swimming 😁
MiTh
duh. Birds. I thought this was the more advanced level of questions.
elainev97
mammals... lmao
toothless beachrat
I've always liked penguins, they seem to be very happy, and the fact they don't fear humans makes me feel that they are friendly as well...

Asmodai,
you are correct... unless it's when you're "sleeping with the fishes" as any monster might say!

CiaransMom, pretty sure most if not all do so it's not a necessary piece of information

Mammals produce milk that the young feed off. Whales and dolphins are mammals. Echidnas and platypus are to, though they have their own classification due to the fact they lay eggs, and are the only known mammals to do so.
R.varun Rajappa
Penguins are a group of aquatic flightless birds. They live almost exclusively in the Southern Hemisphere, with only one species, the Galápagos penguin, found north of the Equator. Highly adapted for life in the water, penguins have countershaded dark and white plumage and flippers for swimming.

Player. Ty, penguins penguins penguins can't stop

Mari
Montana Lady, the snakes, sharks and others that birth live offspring instead of laying eggs just have the eggs hatch inside of them. Nothing like mammals
Player #27043984
