Who is this man?
Correct answer: Mel Blanc

MagicalTorpedo4634
I've loved this man's work since I was a child. AND YES I STILL LOVE TO WATCH LOONEY TUNES!

GP-13
Mel Blanc was so much a part of my childhood...
To this day...
(I’m now 65)...
I hear and/or see a WB cartoon come on TV I will watch at least part of it...
Once Mr Blanc passed on to Heaven...
I watched them for a short time...
But the voices while close...
Just wasn't the same...
Truly one of a kind...
Other cartoons come and go...
Noticably each hold a childs attention ever so shortly...
But the WB's cartoons will hold person's intrest for life...
The differance is???
The writers and/or animators were trying to make each other laugh...
The knew the kids would just get it...
I got it...
My buddies all got it...
Not sure if they would've been as popular without Mr Blanc's vocalization's or not...
But they were very special part of my yoot...
Missing Mr Blanc even to today!!!

As stated, Mel Blanc began his career on radio. Especially on "The Jack Benny Radio Program," which aired from 1932 to 1955.
Mr. Blanc voiced many characters, including Benny's pet polar bear named Carmichael, Benny's frustrated violin teacher, Professor LeBlanc, and most notably . . . . . . penny-pinching Benny's ancient automobile, a Maxwell, that was desperately in need of a tune-up.

MagicalTorpedo4634, ME TOO❣️ My dad and I would watch them for hours. I bought him all the DVDs when they first came out and we had enjoyed marathon weekends together. I miss those. Wish they still showed the old ones on TV but they aren’t considered PC enough for today’s audience. Such a shame. Loved that man’s voice.

GP-13, there was a man at the library once whose ringtone made it clear he was a Looney Tunes fan ( I forget what it was, specifically). I was trying to think of a line that would say we were in the same club, but “Hassan chop!” was all I could think of and you can’t really say that quietly. Can think of quite a few, now.

MagicalTorpedo4634, I wish I could do cartoon voices, maybe I could entertain my little nieces and nephews. Thank God these cartoons are still on. Don’t get me wrong I love Sponge Bob, though.

I cried when I saw the announcement of Mel's passing. It was a picture of all his characters but they could not speak because their voices were gone. RIP Mel. You are eternal now.
