Which is the last colour in a rainbow?
Correct answer: Violet

Yusuf
Easy way to remember the rainbow colour spectrum.. Use the acronym ROYGBIV

Myffa
Yusuf, Richard Of York Gave Battle In Vain - easy way to remember it. (Richard of York was King Richard III, killed in 1475 at Bosworth Field by Henry Tudor, i.e. Henry VII). (His body was recently discovered under a car park - further indignity after losing the battle!)

Aid
Player #25874027, Because it's not the only way of doing things. presumably, as you're aware of ROYGBIV, you're also aware of VIBGYOR

Aid
last?
depends which way you look at them. I was always taught Violet, Indigo, Blue and Green, Yellow, Orange and Red - means red is last

Besart
The question makes no sense, I think. Last in what sense? Why do you decide to count from one side or the other? I think the question has to take into consideration frequency or wavelength in order to be complete

Ghorpaapi
The question is misleading to two different answers depending on where you start counting the inner or the outer circle.

little b
I don't like the colour violet

Coo
arohanui, Actually Sun Dogs or Parahelia are not that uncommon but their brightness is not constant, so some are easily missed.

Nhuca
I love 🌈

arohanui
I once saw two vertical and parallel rainbows on either side of the sun. A rare phenomenon

Paul Steadman,
As you are aware of the ROYGBIV mnemonic I don’t see your issue.

Ray
in our school we have learned it VIBGYOR.

Laura
Paul Steadman, That's confusing too. Green is the middle color.

Paul Steadman
I found this question rather strange. This, at least to me, means nothing unless you use the ROYGBIV mnemonic. Perhaps a better question would be "which of the following colours is closest to the centre of a rainbow?"

Leapfoot
I use ROYGBIV

MARELMAR
I like that color violet. it comes with purple and blue together.
