Wow, that is amazing. I didn't know this about him. I knew Glen Ford was a highly decorated soldier also.

Jimmy Stewart put to shame these selfabsorbed and entitled brats that are called 'movie stars!' He flew dangerous missions over Germany and he flew with distinction and bravery.

This is what I Love about this game. Always, finding something new to learn about.

Player Say what!?
I knew this only because I'm a big fan and watch/read about him often. Went to a Reagan rally way back b/c Jimmy was a speaker. He's frequently a guest on Johnny Carson re-runs.

Happy Veterans Day to all you veterans and their families!

I knew that Stewart had a military career, but I didn't know this much. As a young black kid, I developed a Jimmy Stewart imitation that made my parents, family, and their friends howl with laughter. The Stewart imitation has gotten better with age. I am not a fan of Xmas, and even less so of its paraphernalia. But I will never tire of "It's a Wonderful Life." Thank you, Capra, Reed, and Stewart!

He also flew a combat mission over North Vietnam as an observer in a B-52. He also flew all the US heavy an medium bombers with Strategic Air Command all the way till he retired. He was a very skilled pilot and outstanding officer.

Player #3508501, Yes, he served in the Navy. I don't think he served in dangerous jobs like Stewart did nor was he as high ranking, but he did serve so hats off to him.

Player #7547773, me either way to go Jimmy!!! I'm a US Army veteran myself

I just looked it up as to where ‘It’s a Wonderful Life’ was supposed to have taken place it was Bedford Falls, not Seneca Falls but many people say that Seneca Falls was the inspiration for the town which was in the film.

Chris RN
Jimmy Stewart was born in Indiana, PA in Western Pennsylvania where I live. There is a small, but very well done, museum in Indiana with memorabilia. There is a beautiful statue of Jimmy Stewart in front of the library/museum. ‘A Wonderful Life’ was set in Seneca Falls, NY, if I recall correctly. There is a bridge in Seneca Falls that is always decorated for Christmas in honor of the movie. Our son and daughter in law work for the NPS. They worked in Seneca Falls briefly at the Women’s Rights Center which is operated by the National Park Service. That’s just an extra fact that I wanted to throw in there as the Center is greatly worth seeing.

Outstanding, no wonder Jimmy Stewart was Carol Burnett’s favorite actor.

Back in the days when actors were real men and served there country with honor. Now all we have are a bunch of leftist panty waste cowards. My how things have changed in just 60 years, from heroes to zeros!
