I sure wouldn’t walk 18 miles to give a penny to a customer! That’s awesome though!

Player #3961812, I live in a small town of 3,000 people i worked in a liquor store for 16 years, we actually still do treat our neighbors and customers like that . not everyone lives in a big unfeeling city, we do stoll look after and help each other out. last summer I needed some help with something so I went to my neighbor and said, I could use your help with something, he put on his shoes stood up and said lets go get it done. he didn't say what is it or where do I have to go he just said yes !!

Presidents aren't built like they're used to. Then again, a lot of voters are insane and require a lot of appeasement to win their vote. Kinda of a vicious cycle.

IrishGirl6, great story and he was a good man but I doubt he walked 18 miles there and 18 miles back, seems a little too made up

Honesty is never appreciated by everyone. There will always be corrupt people who will make stories to make a honest person corrupt.

This most likely never happened. Most of those old stories are just modern day legends like Washington's wooden teeth. Never happened. He had multiple dentures all made from ivory or slave teeth. The cherry tree thing also never happened.
