A basilisk like medusa had a lethal like gaze deadly

Now I know what is meant by the expression "He looked at her with a basilisk stare."

A basilisk is also a real reptile (several species exist). A very misleading question, and not very correct answer.

Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets features a basilisk.
