Who is the main character in the American TV series "The Office"?

Surely this question should be worded as the " American version" of the British TV show The Office.

I had never watched The Office until I watched the reruns. It's now one of my favorite shows! Hilarious!

mousie4, I watched the British version long before the American one came out. Ricky Gervais and the rest of the cast are much, much better.
