Mrs. B, I never considered who actually built the white house. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me. I checked it out. I found that originally the plan was to hire french men to build the White house however there was not enough of them that responded to the job application. at that time it was decided to use both free men & slaves to build the white house. I had been twice visiting the White House The second time I had the opportunity to see more of it because I was accompanying the Ambassador of El Salvador. We were received at Jackeline Kennedy rose garden. It’s really sad that the garden doesn’t exist anymore.
