Medusa was once beautiful so beautiful that a jealous and vengeful Athena turned her into the Gorgon, the part of the story everyone knows. Medusa's life and death were horrific thanks to evil Athena !! Athena used to be my favorite Goddess, not after THAT story. The story is actually much longer than this.
