Yes but being Egyptian I don’t think it’s customary to take a bite & waste food. I usually compliment my host & decline.

arohanui, the more I learn about Islam, the more I am struck by its similarly to Judaism: greeting the guest with food and drink, eschewing pork, worship of only one god, the of giving to charity and to those who need it, venerationof the prophets, the study of the Holy Books.....and that's just off the to of my head. We really should be friends and companions, not enemies. Perhaps someday.
