What type of handmade art is in the picture?

My mother taught us all to knit, as I taught my sons. My most interested son knitted our dog leg warmers, scarves and a beautiful button up coat. He is now an Engineer Fabricator and I take all the credit!

I know this for a fact, very relaxing and rewarding past time.

My daughter learned how to knit and crochet from a friend when she was 11 years old. She still does both. I tried it and never could get even stitches. My husband took it up and it gave him something to do with his hands when he quit smoking. I have quite a collection of afghans and shawls I used to wear when we went square dancing.

INCOME, knotting needles are pbvious. they are white or cream colored.

Certainly do not see any knitting needles. This is a very misleading photograph. I would have chosen Crochet, even though there is no Crochet hook, either.
