Player #4250921, I believe it was worth. Slavery and forced labor was, and is inhumane and morally wrong on every level. It was terrible that it took so many American lives to undo this evil and corrupt form of human bondage, but it was what it was, and the price paid had to be high. Although there are still many forms of slavery still used til this day, it has to be met and dealt with by whatever means necessary. Because this is still practiced today in many countries in global society, it displays the character flaws in human beings. It has to be fought and conquered every where it exists on earth if humankind is going to continue to survive.
