Player #82905928, Some Jewish people do believe in Jesus, The Messiah. My son and I went to a Synagogue, called Rehoboth, where Jewish and Christians unite. There are many that believe. It was a beautiful service. People would dance to the Lord. After service, they had potluck meals. They celebrated all festivals from the Bible.

Andy: ontinuation of previous quote. If you are familiar with both the Old Testament and the New Testumament, you will know Jesus was not born in December. Joseph and Mary came to Jeruselum for a required Jewish holiday. The 3 Jewish holidays that require you to come to the Holy Temple are not in December. Passover is usually around March. Shavuot is usually in May. Sukkot is usually in September to celebrate the harvesting of the crops. Many Christian and Islamic beliefs came directly from Judaism. Some beliefs of the pagans were incorporated into the beginnings of Judaism so the pagans would accept 1 God. Judaism. Judaism used some pagan beliefs to get the pagans to believe in 1 God instead of worshop.

AndyV5615 I understand why you want to explain the origin of the holiday of Easter. Both your explation and the commentary after the question was very informative for me. But I object to the use of the phrase "stolen by the Christians (like many things.)" All religions in the world, both past and present, take ideas that already exist and incorporate them into the new belief. In order for the new Christians to get pagans to "believe" they needed to use familiar beliefs to get the pagans to accept new ideas.
