Who was Clem Kadiddlehopper?
Correct answer: A Red Skelton character

Diane Peacock
Then there was Heathcliff and Gertrude the Seagulls. Funny man! We watched his show regularly when i was a kid

joannabanana719
i loved that man, he was the sweetest most down to earth (and very funny and entertaining) person in show business. there never has been another like him and probably never will be!

Auntie Pim
I Loved watching him lie down on the stage and be a piece of frying bacon! Freddie the Freeloader had an extra huge heart when he played that character, in one of his Christmas tv specials!!! He was also an amazing artist who painted clowns! I will love him until the day I die. He was a truly talented man!!!

Peacetoall7
Those were the days when amazing people with amazing talent performed...wait for it...yes performed without cussing or showing every inch of their bodies. They had class. Amazing.

reddnredd
joannabanana719, I agree. He was funny without anger, cursing or hurting other people

nerdmom660
I watched him on TV as a child. His humor was so gentle. And he captured so much humanity in his characters. Of course, I loved to call him Red "Skeleton."

MarchHarlequin1963
"Red" Skelton did an excellent oration of "The Pledge of Allegiance". It is/was on You Tube. check out a video or 2. this was classic comedy

Rissa Firecat
He was so funny and never used a curse word

Red Skeleton was very talented. If you have not heard him read and describe the Pledge of Alliance please do so. It's a beautiful read.

I saw him do a live show before Mn bought the team, Senators, and changed their name to Twins. The stadium had been built and seats were sold so audiences could see the shows. Got his autograph too!

Red skeleton was a very funny man

Auntie Pim, And remember he did, something you rarely see today: Pantomimes, — movements; motion, without words — like being inside a box of glass or eating bowl o cereal—drinking a bottle of wine and getting tipsy. Those were the days!

AndyAlwysSmiling
Diane Peacock, Funny how I know of three wrong answers. Yes I am old, but still having fun!

Julie
I like the pantomime that he did to Kiplings poem "Boots". He called it "Frogs". So funny!

Victoria
joannabanana719, he never talked ugly either. A person can be funny and not cuss, tell nasty jokes etc

LillySparrow

Player #38618593
Loved him and his gentle humor that didn't aim at hurting or insulting people. Except for the drunk character, but to be fair, in those days people thought drunks were funny. We've wised up since then.

nerdmom660,
Not much class in the performance world today, and that's the naked truth.
