Why do cats knead (“make biscuits”) on blankets and other soft objects?

Who says that answer is correct? Kittens instinctively knead around the nipple to stimulate milk flow. I think the nursing option is much more likely.

So which cat actually sat down and explained this to the researchers? Or is this just someone’s opinion?

interestingly I naturally knew this though I have cats I assume because they do that when nursing

I am not a cat person. I guessed the answer correctly, but I cannot believe the amount of people that chose the wrong answers.
