What car brand was named after this girl?

I own a Mercedes Benz so this was really cool to learn the history behind the car.

I was an employee at Daimler-Benz and recognized the picture from a booklet given to employees by the company. I did not know the part that her grandfather was a rabbi. I guess the Nazis didn’t know about that too since Daimler-Benz built the military staff vehicles and weapons ( Teutonic monsters).

Batesey, It came from Carl Benz a German motor engineer whose 1885 car is considered the first practical modern car. His company merged with Daimler in 1926 to form Daimler-Benz which makes the Mercedes Benz brand.

Tuvok, you never know…. Perhaps they knew and since they needed vehicles built - perhaps they chose not to do anything. Which would seem also inconsistent with thier tactic of simply taking ownership for thier cause.
