When did the dodo bird go extinct?

So sad. The same almost happened to the kiwi bird in NZ for the same reasons.

Hi, Dolly from Mauritius. unfortunately, one of the best known extinct 😪species at the hands of man. Hence, the expression: " as dead as the dodo".

Sorry for the pedantry, but become extinct surely rather than go extinct.
