Gia, it sometimes called a religion because every census a small number of people write it down as their religion. This has been happening for decades in western countries.

It is classified in my book as a FAD…. which people with “identity crisis” feels part of something bigger (a family perhaps? Mistakenly said as a religion) thus the loneliness of being alone or a loner is momentarily erased.

just goes to show people will irrationally follow any cult. religion is for the weak minded.
