Funny……. As I was driving home this morning “The Wreck” song popped into my mind. I was thinking to myself how wonderful it was that Gord wrote this song as a tribute to those who lost their lives during that terrible storm on Lake Superior. After thinking that, I then thought about how really boring the song really is, all that droning over and over and over with the same set of notes and rhythm throughout the entire song that never seems to end. I have been a huge fan of Gordon Lightfoot for many years and love so many of his songs (especially “If you could read my mind”) that stating I have never cared for or especially liked “The Wreck” seems a bit cruel on my part, but, Hey, even the great ones aren’t always so great. Sorry Gord, may you rest in peace.

Great. Now I hear that song in my head... At least you could have mentioned If You Could Read My Mind.
