What type of mineral is citrine?

An interesting question. I’ve started my day learning something new.

Unscrupulous sellers will sometimes artificially darken Smoky Quartz by irradiating it. Not sure how, but they do.

Greygranite, No it's not. Cairngorm is a dark type of Smoky Quartz.

The name is a clue, thinking of the crystal colour of lemon pulp

think it's also known as a Cairngorm stone
