In 1925, sami Samuel Balto offered to deliver the diphtheria serum to Nome with his dogs. He ran to save lives in the remote wilderness with no other transportation but a brave man and his Siberian husky. Exactly 100 ys ago, he did it for necessity, not for sports trophies. 🙄 Every year, one or more dog 🐕 dies of exhaustion, accidents, etc. 4 in 2024! If you want to prove you can do it too, do the run on your skies alone. Don't torture "humans' best friend" !!! Where is PETA????
