I have type 2 and have been able to control it for 3 years now by watching the food I eat, I treat myself to a fast food splurge twice a month and eat high protein, low carb, high fiber foods all the other time. Lost 58 lbs and dropped my A1c from 11.2 to a 6.0 it can be done 😊

Type 1 diabetes is NOT congenital, and you are NOT born with it. I developed Type 1 diabetes at the age of 30, and there was NO history of it on either side of my family. It’s an autoimmune disorder. A tendency to autoimmune disorders may run in families, but there are many of these besides Type 1 diabetes. They include coeliac disease, Chrohn’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, psoriasis, Grave’s disease, multiple sclerosis and others. People can develop Type 1 diabetes at any age from infancy up to their 60s or later. This answer is very misleading.

I am hyper-glycemic. When I eat a candy bar, about an hour later someone or something will get me so mad I may punch or kick a hole in the wall. I believe I may
have type 3 diabetes, the dread Altzheimers disease. I go to a different room to get something and forget what I was looking for. it's happening more often and is scar-ring me now...
