As a Deadhead I can also add that the original lineup included Donna Jean, Micky Hart and Brent Mydland. Additionally Deadheads is the name given to fans of the band many of whom would go on tour with the band, following them from city to city, camping out in the concert venue parking lots and creating small cities for the usually 3 day show in each location. It was customary for Deadheads to hang out in the “parking lot” before and after the shows, where you could find many vendors of handmade clothing and art, as well as many varieties of food and drink. Not to mention the sounds of many previous Dead shows. Always peaceful, it was not to be missed and is certainly missed today!
